Internship as IT translator
Duration: A minimum of 6 months, 40 hours per week

This internship is appropriate for applicants who have not yet had any professional translation experience, as well as for students in other language-related fields. During the six-month internship at Think Global, you will have the opportunity to augment your existing English skills with professional know-how and on-the-job experience, which are all essential for translating technical texts, software, marketing texts and Web sites. These are often documents related to the newest products from clients such as Microsoft, Intel, IBM or Macromedia. As these texts are frequently extremely exacting, Think Global requires its applicants to have an excellent command of both English and German, as well as a profound knowledge of information technology.

Your duties:
Project preparation and postprocessing
Translation of IT texts in accordance with style guides
Working with CAT tools and terminology databases
Working with terminology databases and creating glossaries
Internet research
Communicating with the team

Your background:
You have completed studies in a language-related field
You are a native English or German speaker
You have excellent English skills
You have a good grasp of IT
You have a good writing style and strong orthography skills
